SERVICE RETIREMENT BENEFIT CALCULATOR FOR BASE PLAN MEMBERS

Years of Credited Service: (Ex: 20 years 4 months = 20.33 years)

*Final Wages consists of your base salary, longevity and all incentive pays but does not include overtime pay. The formula to calculate your Monthly Final Wages would be the sum your bi-weekly wages, multiplied by 26 (pay periods in a year), divided by 12 (months in a year). 

     Example:  Bi-weekly base salary $1,738.97, longevity $46.16, incentive $48.47 and education incentive $9.24, then
     $1,738.97 + $46.16 + $48.47 + $9.24 = $1,842.84 x 26 = $47,913.84 / 12 = $3,992.82 Monthly Final Wages


If you are not yet forty-five (45) years of age, please refer to the table of Early Retirement Reduction Factors to more accurately determine your benefit. Calculate your age in years and months.  Use the table to determine the early retirement reduction factor. Multiply the above calculated benefit by the factor to determine your early retirement benefit.
